    This product (iQ-VIEW) and it's autorouting will not be able to alter any data automatically.

    But iQ-ROUTER, one of our products, is exactly what you need. The iQ-ROUTER PRO version has an automatic feature to alter data based on rules and conditions. BEside that you have routing, automatic distribution (also rule based), conversion of transfer syntaxes and many more. The next version currently in development will add TLS/SSL encryption for secure transmission and support for specific character sets.

    No, it is not customizable. K-PACS (like iQ-VIEW) works on study level but not on patient level. A patient with two studies will have two folders in your local image box. Each study is stored within its own directory under the local image box folder using the StudyInstanceUID as folder name. Within the "study folder" each series will be stored in its own directory as well using the SeriesInstanceUID for the name.
    Btw, the name of the "study folder" and the "series subfolder" should be alike but never the same.

    Changes of the information shown with the image (text overlay) are only available in the commercial version iQ-VIEW. The brightness and contrast (window center and level) can be changed by selecting "windowing" (go to the button and select the "window" in the upcoming tool bar). Then left-click within the image and move you mouse while holding the mouse button pressed.

    Such feature exists already. In the study browser (local imagebox or a find request e.g. result from PACS query) click on a result and drag it with the mouse of the import button. The import dialog will open with the demographic data filled in. Beside that you may also want to use worklist (only the PRO version) within the import dialog to get patient and study information.

    the CANCEL-Request appears after the last action. I programatically forced a cancel after 10 reponses in my example (the query will result in 33 responses). If you need a tool capable to send such CANCEL-Request you may use the findscu or movescu of DCMTK. Both support the "CancelAfterNResponses" parameter. My current conquest is of version 1.4.15.

    Here the log of such a request (DEBUG Level 4):

    Both services (C-FIND and C-MOVE) seem to ignore cancel requests. The log states "Cancel request (ignored)" if the SCU sends such a request. Is this behaviour configurable or hard coded? I could not find anything related in the user interface or any config file.

    As I understand the standard the SCP "shall" handle those requests. See PS3.4-2008 C. (C-FIND) and C. (C-MOVE).

    K-PACS does not support Query/Retrieve services as SCP (server). Therefore you cannot pull data from another modality (like EFILM). You can only push the data from the K-PACS. The findscu is a "client" tool that allows K-PACS to query other modalities that do support query/retrieve as SCP.

    There is no such feature to synchronize the images/database between two K-PACS. In order to track down the source of the problem we would need some more info.
    - Are the images sent from K-PACS 1 to K-PACS 2 via DICOM transfer?
    - if so, turn on the verbose mode of the KPSERVER in the second K-PACS (local settings->Server Admin tool: stop server, enable verbose mode and add '-d' as additional parameter, start server). The server will then run in a console window (DOS box). Post here the output of such a "failed" transfer.

    First of all, please, open an own post for your questions if they are not related to existing topics (K-PACS "does not work" does not count :lol: ).

    Anyway, your problem is a typical problem. You need to make sure that the queried system (e.g. conquest or any other PACS) knows your K-PACS. That usually means, that you have to add an entry of your K-PACS within the other system (e.g. in conquest it is under "known provider"). You will need to enter at least K-PACS's IP address, port and AE title there.

    Could you (both) run the scp of K-PACS (kpserver) in verbose mode and post a copy of the output here? The verbose mode can be enabled in the server admin tool and runs the server with a command box for the output. You could also add the '-d' parameter to 'additional parameter'. It will enable the debug level of the output. Then try to echo and send images.

    It means that the software was already installed on the system before. A re-installation of the software will not change the trial license status. But there should not be a problem to install and run the trial on a different system.

    The trial license is activated at the first start after the installation by the software itself. There is no user-interaction required.

    The key "Modality" (0008,0060) is definitely a SERIES level key and will not be provided by a PACS on a study level request (see DICOM PS 3.4 C6.2). A search in iQ-VIEW is always done on STUDY level first (using the study root query/retrieve information model). In the result you may expand each entry which will schedule a request on SERIES level and show the related series information (including the modality). If other application retrieve the modality information and provide those in the result of a STUDY level request they either make more than just a request on STUDY but also on SERIES level, or both, PACS and workstation, are not conform to the DICOM specification. I guess it is the first :).

    Sorry, there is no way to change the query design in iQ-VIEW.

    Most ViDAR scanner provide a TWAIN interface. If your device does support it you can install the VIDAR TWAIN driver (from VIDAR web site). In K-PACS you use the Import dialog and click on the "TWAIN"-Button. The first time it will ask you to select a TWAIN device. Choose whatever looks like VIDAR :) .. sorry, have no VIDAR. K-PACS will then open the TWAIN dialog provided by the VIDAR driver and you can scan your films. When closing the TWAIN dialog you will get back into the K-PACS import dialog and you can enter the patient and study information. Finish by importing to local image box.
